Re: Cable And/Or Telephone Wiring
By policy adopted at its meeting of November 2, 2015, the Association gives permission for Cox Communications, its subcontractors, or other entities to pull cable and/or telephone wiring, subject to all of the following conditions:
Wiring may be pulled from the entry point outside any building, through the conduit in the foundation, to the garage demarcation box located in the garage portion of your unit, and into the downstairs portion of a first floor condominium unit or up into the upstairs portion of a second floor condominium unit.
Wiring may not be placed on any part of the exterior of any building, holes may not be drilled on any part of the exterior of the building, and brackets or other hardware may not be affixed to any part of the exterior of the building. None of the preceding may be done under any conditions, for any reason.
The Association requires this for two reasons: 1) to minimize the possibility of damage from water intrusion caused by drilling into the building exterior, and 2) to maintain the exterior appearance of the building,
Wiring, and any brackets or other hardware may not be visible in the common stairway shared with any other condominium unit and may not be visible in any other common element or limited common element. The Association requires this for two reasons: 1) to minimize the possibility of a trip hazard created by cable, any other wiring or any brackets or other hardware, and 2) to maintain the appearance of the interior stairway, common element, or limited common element.
In addition, the owner and the Association must obtain the permission of any adjoining unit owners who may be affected by any cable or other wiring installation, including pulling wiring through the boundaries of any other unit, leaving wiring, brackets or other hardware visible in the boundaries of their unit, or affecting their cable television or broadband internet service in any manner.
The board of directors reserves the right to change this policy from time to time, by adoption of revised policies, by resolution, or by amending the Rules & Regulations of Villas on the Square, a condominium.
